‘Help clean up trash after the flood’ – Police Chief Sanuan deployed Deputy Jon to lead the ‘Disguised Garbage Truck’ operation, smashing the hideout of major drug supplier ‘Bang Dam’ in Praween. The investigative team, headed by Sergeant Jae, posed as garbage collectors to raid the gang’s residences, arresting six members by surprise and seizing substantial evidence. Dated 8 October 2069, Police General Sanuan Nuanma, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, and Police Major General Theeradech Thammasuthee directed the Narcotics Bureau of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, jointly with Bangkok’s Office of the Narcotics Control Board under Director Prern Khananant, and coordinated with Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, to dismantle the drug network in Praween. Armed with warrants from the Criminal Court, officers searched five sites in Bangkok and Samut Prakan, apprehending six suspects and identifying nine drug users in a community behind On Nut Soi via X‑ray screening. The principal suspect, Mr. Somphop (surname withheld), alias ‘Bang Dam’, 38, residing in Praween, Bangkok, was arrested under an arrest warrant from the Phra Khanong Criminal Court (Case No. J.1001/2569 dated 2 October 2069) for offenses including conspiracy to sell Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine, ice), possession of ketamine for distribution, and forming a group to commit serious drug‑related crimes. He has seven prior convictions ranging from drug possession, attempted murder, rape, weapons offenses, and gambling. Seized items: 1,644 meth tablets, 63 grams of ice, 2.5 grams of ketamine, five mobile phones (containing chat logs with lawyers to silence witnesses), one Toyota car, and five motorcycles. The operation followed an earlier seizure of 120,000 meth tablets in Praween, which led investigators to link multiple cases to Bang Dam, whose true identity had previously been unknown.
