Wacharapong Defends Anutin, Ignores Unconstructive Criticism
Bhumjaithai MP Wacharapong Khuwijitsuwann defended Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, accusing critics of being biased academics who lack social sense. He challenged them to enter politics through elections rather than hiding behind academic titles to seek fame, and said the government remains focused on solving national problems despite unconstructive criticism.
Wacharapong Khuwijitsuwann said that academics and political analysts who question why Anutin endures so much criticism are motivated by personal bias rather than neutral scholarship. He argued that society must distinguish between genuine academic opinion and those with political agendas, noting that many analysts masquerade as academics while having clear past roles in political movements and conflicts. Their criticism, he said, lacks consistency, is stuck in old‑era discourse, and fails to understand today’s political and social context. Wacharapong urged anyone who wants to engage in politics to do so through democratic elections, not by hiding behind academic robes to gain attention and hurl insults without accountability. He added that the government and Anutin choose to ignore nonsensical, unconstructive criticism and devote their time to solving problems for the people who entrusted them with power.
