The woman, known as Fern, had just returned from abroad and left her home in Tamaka district that afternoon to do errands at a shopping mall. By 2 p.m., her family could not reach her and became concerned, fearing she had been in an accident. She was driving a gray sedan with Samutprakan license plates.
After the missing person alert was shared on social media, the public helped spread the information widely. The Khun Ratanavudh Foundation later reported that the woman had been found in Ranong province. According to initial reports, she was threatened at gunpoint, assaulted, and forced to drive the vehicle. She is now under the care of police and medical personnel.
