The 19-year-old rider, identified as Atit (surname withheld) from Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom, suffered abrasions and was taken to hospital. He said he had traveled from Nakhon Pathom to meet his girlfriend, whom he had recently started dating, who had come by bus from Chiang Rai and arranged to meet in Ayutthaya. After meeting, they rode together on his gray‑blue Honda Wave 125 motorcycle with a Nakhon Pathom license plate, heading to check into accommodation. While traveling on Asian Highway, moving from the main lane to the service lane, they collided with the bus, causing the woman's death. The bus driver, 55‑year‑old Staet (surname withheld), said he was driving normally in the service lane preparing to turn around at a U‑turn bridge when the motorcycle suddenly swerved from the main lane into the service lane, leaving him unable to brake. Police Lieutenant Kamphon Inthiwong recorded the scene and invited the bus driver for further questioning to determine the cause and proceed with legal action. The woman's body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Science in Pathum Thani for autopsy, and authorities are coordinating with relatives to collect the body for religious rites.
