18-wheeler Crashes into Restaurant, Then Pickup Truck Hits Same Restaurant 20 Minutes Later—Two Seriously Injured

On May 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM, authorities received a report of an 18-wheeler crashing into a restaurant in the Baan Kok Sung intersection area on Chaosathed Road in Kuud Chum District, Yasothon Province, leaving the building severely damaged. The 18-wheeler driver was injured, though no customers were present at the restaurant at the time, preventing additional casualties. Just 20 minutes later at 4:20 PM, a pickup truck lost control and crashed violently into the same restaurant, injuring two people. The driver, a 23-year-old man, suffered a deep laceration on the left side of his neck and lacerations to his left hand—both serious injuries. A 59-year-old female passenger also sustained a serious head wound. All injured persons were transported to Kuud Chum Hospital for treatment.
