At 3 a.m. on September 18, 2025, Pak To Police Sub-division received a report of a black four-door pickup truck colliding with a 10-wheel truck carrying asbestos pipes on the Pak To intersection overpass at kilometer 122+300 in Ratchaburi province. The pickup's front was severely damaged after the high-speed impact with the truck's rear. The driver, Atit (surname withheld), 36, suffered broken ribs and was able to exit the vehicle, but a male passenger, Kanitpat (surname withheld), 60, was found trapped in the left seat and confirmed dead at the scene. The impact had crushed the console and frame onto the 10-wheel truck, preventing immediate extraction. Rescue teams used cutting and prying equipment to free the body.
The 10-wheel truck driver, Tiva (surname withheld), 49, told investigators he was driving in the left lane when he heard a loud crash from behind his vehicle. He stopped and found the pickup had struck his truck hard. Police have not yet confirmed the cause of the accident and are gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and conducting further investigation before proceeding with legal action.
