Nakhon Pathom Sports School Wins Men's Sepak Takraw Title Again

Nakhon Pathom Municipal Sports School captured its second consecutive men's sepak takraw title at the 7HD Student Sports Championship 2026, while Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Sports School won the women's division for the first time. The finals, held at Bangkok's Fashion Island on October 3, featured celebrity guests, cheer squads and a celebration show. The tournament also announced that the draw for the accompanying 7‑a‑side student football competition will take place on October 8.

The finals of the 7HD Student Sports Championship 2026 took place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Island Hall on the third floor of Fashion Island Shopping Centre in Bangkok. Nakhon Pathom Municipal Sports School defended its men's sepak takraw crown with a 2‑0 set victory (15‑12, 15‑9) over Suphanburi Provincial Sports School, earning its second title. Meanwhile, Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Sports School clinched the inaugural women's championship by defeating Nakhon Nonthawi Sports School 2‑0 (15‑9, 17‑16).

The tournament, the third sport in the four‑part 7HD Student Sports Championship series, was organized by Channel 7HD in partnership with Chulalongkorn University and Warrix Sports PLC, alongside national sports partners. Prior to the finals, school sepak takraw teams from across the country competed, and this year marked the first time a women's division was opened. The event featured lively cheer squads, appearances by Channel 7HD personalities Oat‑Chakrit, Jeen‑Chotinuntara and Chai‑Somchai, sports news anchors Ai Sotsawat and Pook Naphatsorn, and a commentator team consisting of Add X‑Therach, Add Tae‑Pachorn, Add Ek‑Phatsanop and Add Nat‑Natthawut. A celebration show by the girl group Porsche/Dada and Lukpad Pimphon added to the festive atmosphere.

After the matches, an award ceremony was led by Patthanapong Nunphan, Managing Director of Channel 7HD; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitidech Phongkittworasin, Vice Rector of Chulalongkorn University; Thatdanai Chotwinyoo, Business Development Manager of Warrix Sports PLC; and Thana Chaiyasit, Vice President and Secretary‑General of the Thailand Olympic Committee under Royal Patronage, together with the President of the Takraw Association of Thailand. They presented medals, certificates and trophies to the winning teams.
