Actor Mark Prin Prepares Boat as Mother's Flood Persists
Actor Mark Prin revealed he panicked after floodwaters entered his mother’s home and remained high for five days. He is preparing to buy a boat or jet ski to assist his family and neighbours while monitoring the Chao Phraya River for further rain. The incident has delayed his television shoots, but he urged the public to stay alert and support one another.
Mark Prin said he was shocked when his mother called at 6 a.m. to report that floodwater had entered her house while his side of the street was still dry. He rushed over, carrying bags as his mother and his nephew Kim helped their dog out of the water. The water in the ground floor was just above knee level, and his mother had been awake since 5 a.m. but hesitated to call until later. After moving her to her brother’s house, the water has not receded after five days, leaving the family unable to return home. He admitted to feeling panicked at first, constantly checking the water level, and now plans to monitor the Chao Phraya River through real‑time camera feeds and prepare sandbags and flood barriers. Mark Prin hopes that warning systems will become more timely and that residents with boats or high‑ground vehicles will continue to help each other, while also preparing for possible water‑borne illnesses. He added that his own house has not yet been flooded, but he is stockpiling sandbags and considering purchasing a water‑blocking barrier. The situation has delayed filming for his and Kim’s television projects, but he urged everyone to stay supportive.
