Agriculture Deputy Minister Delivers Aid to Flood-Hit East Bangkok

On September 28, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Wacharapol Khaokhram, accompanied by senior officials from the agriculture ministry, parliamentary representatives, and heads of government agencies, visited the Red Mosque and Siam Garden area in Khannayao District to distribute boxed meals, drinking water, and over 2,000 units of UHT milk from the Thai-Denmark cattle dairy promotion organization. The aid was targeted at vulnerable communities, bedridden patients, and young children in flood-stricken areas of East Bangkok where assistance had not yet reached.
Additional distribution points were planned for Lad Krabang District's Queen Suthida Memorial Park, Sai Mai District's Prachanukul School, Khannayao District Office, and Mueang District, as well as Wat Lak Si School in Lak Si District. The Ministry of Agriculture also announced plans to distribute microbial fermentation balls (EM balls) to affected residents, as standing floodwater has begun to emit odors and attract large numbers of mosquitoes.
Further relief efforts will continue on September 29, with the Department of Fisheries transporting essential supplies and food via inspection vessels to reach residents in East Bangkok who are unable to leave their homes to purchase necessities or access severely flooded areas. The ministry invited affected communities to contact them for additional assistance as needed.
