Animal Welfare Group Delivers Food to Flood-Stranded Pets

The Thailand Animal Welfare Society (TSPCA) has waded through floodwaters in the Samsen Ruam Glae residential area to distribute emergency food to dogs and cats. On September 29, Dr. Sathit Prajaya Arigun, secretary-general and executive director of TSPCA, announced that the organization is deeply concerned about the flood crisis affecting Bangkok and nearby areas. Both people and animals are suffering, and in areas hit by continuous flooding, pets are already running out of food and water.

The TSPCA team has been deployed to assist flood-affected animals in Samsen Ruam Glae and surrounding neighborhoods, distributing food to dogs and cats facing severe shortages. Under its flood-affected animal welfare recovery program for Bangkok and the surrounding region, TSPCA aims to help, treat, and restore the wellbeing of animals after the flooding. The effort helps ease the burden on pet owners affected by the disaster and supports post-flood health care and disease prevention. Pet food is being donated by TSPCA, partner networks, and members of the public.

TSPCA is appealing for continued support, stating that "every act of help toward flood-affected animals means survival for another life."
