Speaking at Government House at 13:15 on October 28, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said he had received initial reports about the arrest of the "Godd Dam" page owner but had not yet read the details. He was en route to meet Police Lieutenant General Saranyu Nualma, the national police chief, at Royal Thai Police Headquarters for a scheduled meeting where a briefing was expected. Anutin stressed that anyone who breaks the law must face legal consequences, rejecting suggestions the action was unusually swift. "It wasn't fast; the wrongdoing was blatant," he said. "There was a post, it was later deleted because the poster knew it was false, and a death threat — 'Anutin, you're dead for sure' — was made. The police acted quickly because the evidence was clear: who posted it, where the server is, who committed the act. If there is clear evidence, we proceed immediately."
Anutin added that the previous day authorities had seized assets from a scammer network, demonstrating that enforcement now includes asset confiscation, not just arrests. He said all actions depend on evidence; if it exists, action is taken at once. If new information emerges, officials must be given time to verify it.
Regarding MP Ratchanok Srinok sharing the post with a caption saying she wanted the prime minister investigated, Anutin laughed and replied that he also wants to show no one can break the law with impunity. "If you want an investigation, you don't need to share it; you can submit a question in parliament," he said. "By sharing it, the narrative became 'Anutin took a 7-million-baht tea bribe' nationwide. That is not verification — it is defamation, malicious intent, and causing public misunderstanding through electronic media."
