GROHE, the global bathroom and kitchen solutions brand under LIXIL, revealed consumer behavior research from the Asia-Pacific region showing that more than two-thirds of consumers prioritize wellness and home innovation. According to GlobalWebIndex data, key factors in bathroom product selection are innovation (69%), wellness (61%), and brand trustworthiness (60%), indicating consumers now view bathrooms as integral to daily health and relaxation.
The research found that consumers spend an average of just five minutes showering, but this brief period plays a vital role in physical and mental recovery, energizing and relaxing users throughout the day. This insight led GROHE to develop Aqua Intelligence technology under its "Pure Joy of Water" concept, blending German engineering with user-centered design.
GROHE is now aggressively pursuing the premium bathroom market with the "Showers That Stay With You" concept to meet modern consumer demand for comprehensive health and wellness solutions at home. The Aqua Intelligence system comprises four core technologies: GROHE SmartControl for easy water function and volume adjustment, GROHE TurboStat for precise temperature control within milliseconds, GROHE DreamSpray for uniform water distribution, and GROHE CoolTouch for safe surface temperatures.
The technology is integrated into flagship products including GROHE Grohtherm SmartControl (wall-mounted rain shower system) and GROHE Rainshower SmartActive 310, designed for versatile use and relaxation. GROHE anticipates that future home design trends will increasingly emphasize wellness-promoting spaces, particularly bathrooms transitioning from functional areas to relaxation and health-care destinations, intensifying competition in the premium bathroom market.
As a LIXIL subsidiary, GROHE continues developing products under sustainability principles, including water and energy-saving technologies, reduced plastic packaging, and carbon-neutral manufacturing processes to enhance consumer quality of life.
