Armed Robber Snatches Gold Worth 3.5 Million Baht in Pathum Thani
An armed robber in a mask stole approximately 3.5 million baht in gold chains from a shop in Pathum Thani on September 13, fleeing calmly after forcing staff to hand over larger pieces at gunpoint.
At 3:20 p.m. on September 13, Samkok Police Station in Pathum Thani received a report of an armed robbery at a gold shop on Pathum-Samkok Road, Samkok District. A masked robber wearing a jacket entered alone, drew a gun, and forced staff to hand over gold items. He selected only the larger pieces—10-baht chains (2 pieces), 5-baht chains (4 pieces), and 4-baht chains (3 pieces)—totaling approximately 3.5 million baht before fleeing.
Store employee Supattra Kisammakham, visibly shaken, recounted that the robber walked in quietly, then drew the weapon and ordered staff to crouch. He pointed his gun at one employee while forcing another to pick out the larger gold chains by gesturing at them. After collecting the gold, he holstered his weapon and walked out calmly without running, speaking with what appeared to be a central Thai accent.
Following the incident, officers from Samkok Police Station and the Pathum Thani Provincial Police Bureau, along with forensic teams, rushed to the scene to pursue the suspect urgently.
