Thai Art Showcase Opens With Free Workshops
PTT Art Gallery opens "Arts to Collect," featuring over 170 artworks from Thai artists of all ages with free admission, workshops, and opportunities to purchase pieces at accessible prices through October 2026.
Art has no fixed answers, and its charm lies in how each person can view and feel the same work differently. Some may be drawn to color, others to hidden stories, while some simply feel 'this is beautiful.' These small feelings may be the beginning of discovering the art world and opening our minds to art from a wider perspective.
The Arts to Collect exhibition showcases outstanding artworks selected from PTT's 2026 art competition and offers interested visitors the opportunity to purchase works to collect or enhance their own spaces, alongside Art Workshop activities to explore art further.
The exhibition runs from September to October 2026, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed Mondays) at PTT Art Gallery at Baan Chao Phraya, with free admission and activities.
Over 170 works from artists of all ages highlight the exhibition, ranging from children under 9 years old to the general public. Viewers will experience diverse perspectives and presentation forms. For those wanting to start collecting art, the exhibition offers the chance to view and own outstanding works at accessible prices—whether keeping them for personal enjoyment or adding color and stories to their own spaces, the artwork gains meaning in their own way.
Beyond appreciation, the exhibition supports Thai artists by providing a platform to present their work and generate income from sales. Featured works selected from PTT's art competition are also on display, offering visibility to artists from diverse groups.
The event aims to position the gallery as more than a display space, promoting the museum's role as a 'space of opportunity' for artists to share work and the public to engage with art. It also supports the creative economy by adding value to artworks, generating income for artists, and fostering growth in Thailand's creative industries.
Free Art Workshops invite visitors to create and explore art further. Workshops are scheduled for October 17–18 and 24–25, 2026 at PTT Art Gallery at Baan Chao Phraya, limited to 120 participants. Registration runs from today through September 25, 2026, with winners announced and confirmed October 7–14, 2026.
