Asian Games 2026 Athletes' Village Features Compact Container Rooms
The 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya will house athletes in compact shipping container rooms equipped with beds, TVs, air conditioning, and bathrooms, with privacy curtains dividing sleeping areas.
The 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, will open on September 19–October 4, 2026. Thai athletes and officials, along with representatives from many other nations, have already begun arriving in Japan to prepare.
Photos of the athletes' village have now been released, revealing that each room is constructed from a long shipping container with full amenities including a bed, television, air conditioning, wardrobe, and bathroom. Each bed is fitted with a privacy curtain for separation.
