Bangkok Festival 2026 has progressed through its opening phase with vibrant atmosphere as celebrities, actors, and both Thai and foreign audiences flock to shows. Live performance continues to captivate audiences across opera, ballet, and contemporary works from world-leading artists.
Two major productions have achieved complete sellouts across all performances: "Alice in Wonderland" by Wings Show Production and "The Great Gatsby" by Enrique Gasa Valga Dance Company, underscoring their global appeal and imaginative storytelling.
October programming includes "Coco Chanel" by National Theatre Brno on October 5, a contemporary ballet depicting the fashion icon's life through elegant movement and artistic production. Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" follows on October 8, a timeless tale of love and heartbreak. Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece "Madama Butterfly" performs October 10, celebrated as one of opera's most powerful works.
Contemporary ballet enthusiasts will experience Eifman Ballet's "The Pygmalion Effect," a dynamic interpretation of classical literature through powerful choreography. The festival concludes with "Russian Hamlet," a masterwork blending narrative, history, and dance, presented by Eifman Ballet on October 15 and 17.
