iQIYI Brings Spring of The Blade Cast to Bangkok

iQIYI International hosted the "iQIYI Starship: Spring of The Blade Meet and Greet in Thailand" at Siam Paragon in Bangkok, featuring lead actor Xu Kai from the series "Spring of The Blade" alongside singers Xiao Aqi and Kang Ziqi who performed the theme songs. The event included in-depth character discussions, scene analysis, live musical performances, and fan activities.

Directed by Pan Anzi and starring Xu Kai and Zhou Ye, "Spring of The Blade" follows characters Shen Run and Xie Qingyuan as they investigate an ancient mystery while navigating family secrets and personal trauma. Their relationship evolves from suspicion and mistrust to mutual understanding and collaboration as they uncover hidden truths amid power games and growing feelings.

During the event, Xu Kai explained how he portrayed the dual personalities of his character through voice, facial expressions, and body language. He described the lead characters as "blade and sheath"—equally strong and constantly clashing, with their emotional journey progressing from wariness to trust and understanding.

The programme featured special scenes from the series, including the first appearance of one character, a rescue scene in the rain, and pivotal moments in their relationship. Xu Kai shared behind-the-scenes stories with fans. A highlight was a Thai dessert tasting inspired by a scene from the series, blending the show's world with Thai cultural experience.

Singer Xiao Aqi performed the theme song "The Wait," discussing its emotional meaning and hidden character emotions, while Kang Ziqi sang "The Path," conveying character journeys through music. The event concluded with a memory game where ten lucky fans tested their recall of three-second series clips, followed by reading fan letters and watching a special video created by Thai fans. Xu Kai thanked everyone in Thai and invited fans to continue following "Spring of The Blade."
