Bangkok Flood Submerges Khor Rom Klao Road, Halting Traffic
Heavy flooding has submerged Khor Rom Klao Road in Bangkok, with water levels reaching up to 80 cm and halting all vehicle traffic. Police are using boats to help residents move in and out of the affected area. Officials report varying flood depths along the road and are managing traffic and rescue efforts.
Khor Rom Klao Road remains flooded, with water up to 80 centimeters deep in some areas, preventing all types of vehicles from passing. Rom Klao Police Station is helping residents by providing boat access. At 11:00 a.m. on October 4, 2026, Pol. Col. Nachaphisit Siangwan of Rom Klao Police Station said they had received reports of flooding along Khor Rom Klao Road from the canal near Wat Pak Bung to Lam Ong Tan Canal on the Srinakarin Rom Klao side. From Wat Pak Bung to Khor Rom Klao Soi 6, about 500 meters, water is about 5 centimeters deep and passable. However, from Khor Rom Klao Soi 6 to the police station, about 500 meters, water is 40–50 centimeters deep, blocking small vehicles. From the police station to Lam Ong Tan Canal, about 800 meters, water remains at 60–80 centimeters, forbidding all vehicles. Authorities will continue to manage traffic and assist affected residents in traveling in and out, including by boat, to reach shelters or allow rescue teams to deliver aid.
