On August 6, 2026, at 14:05, police from the Central Investigation Bureau brought Nai Thonthong Sukkaen, known as Ton Bangkhae, a renowned Buddhist amulet expert, in for questioning on fraud charges following a court arrest warrant. Police had conducted raids at two locations: his residence in Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi province, and his amulet company office also in Bang Kruai. Ton arrived with a sling on his left arm and greeted reporters with a smile.

When questioned on multiple points, Ton stated: "The more I'm investigated, the more honorable I become. I'm willing to go through the process." When asked if he was confident in his own innocence, he replied: "I'm already confident, sir." Asked if he had anything further to add, Ton said: "It's fine, sir. Being investigated will make me more honorable. I confirm I've never fled." Regarding whether he came voluntarily or was apprehended, he only said: "I came to prove my innocence and to go through the process."

When reporters asked about suspicions involving the high-end Zeiss Blue Marine spotting scope, Ton did not answer the question before police escorted him into the interrogation room to proceed with legal proceedings.
