Netbay Appoints New CEO as Founder Steps to Advisory Role

Netbay's board has approved Dr. Chatthai Thanariddee as the company's new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2025, replacing Kobkanchana Weeraphongpradit, who has stepped down but will continue as a company advisor to facilitate the leadership transition. The board meeting on September 18, 2025, accepted Kobkanchana's resignation, which takes effect September 30, 2025, and passed a resolution appointing Dr. Chatthai as the new CEO and board member.

The company stated that the appointment represents a leadership transition to ensure business continuity and improved operational efficiency, with Kobkanchana remaining involved in an advisory capacity. Dr. Chatthai holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management and Strategy from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, an MBA from Kasetsart University, and undergraduate and master's degrees in Computer Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.

Dr. Chatthai brings over 29 years of executive and board experience in organizational management, strategic leadership, digital transformation, risk management, and corporate governance across Thailand and international markets. He has held senior positions including Managing Director at Accenture, Global Manager at Chevron Energy Technology Company in the United States, and various roles at Chevron operations in Asia and Thailand. His experience spans finance, banking, insurance, fintech, insurtech, healthcare, energy, and digital technology sectors. He has also served as an independent director, audit committee member, risk management director, and board member for listed companies, financial institutions, and public-sector organizations, and has contributed to national policy development in digital economics, artificial intelligence, and digital government initiatives.
