Chalermkwan's For Thailand Party Wins Kalasin PAO Governor Race
Chalermkwan Lo Satakun of the For Thailand Party has won re-election as governor of Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization with a decisive 81.8% of the vote. She defeated her rival by more than four times the margin, securing 306,497 votes to his 68,340. The election took place on August 23, 2026, shortly after she returned to seek re-election following her earlier resignation.
Chalermkwan Lo Satakun, known as Khai Muek, from the For Thailand Party won the Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) governor election with a landslide victory on August 23, 2026, after previously resigning before the end of her term on August 13 and then returning to defend her title.
Chalermkwan Lo Satakun, the For Thailand Party candidate, received ballot number 1, while Prasert Bunyuang, also known as Kamnanhit from the Hug Phaeng Biang Yaeng Kalasin group, received ballot number 2. Counting began immediately after polls closed at 5:00 p.m., and by 8:04 p.m. (unofficial results), 99.88% of all 1,668 polling units had been tallied.
The results showed Chalermkwan Lo Satakun secured 306,497 votes, representing 81.8% of the total vote, vastly outpacing her opponent and successfully defending her position as PAO governor. Her rival Prasert Bunyuang received 68,340 votes, accounting for 18.2% of the total.
