Chao Phraya Express Boat announced on August 14 that it will adjust service schedules for Monday, August 17, 2025, starting from noon due to a ceremonial waterway procession drill. From noon onwards, service modifications will apply across all routes. The yellow-flag midday boat will run from Nonthaburi to Payap and Wat Ratchasingh to Ratchawong (12:00–4:00 p.m.), followed by orange-flag service (4:00–6:30 p.m.). The green-yellow-flag boat will serve Payap–Pak Kret (4:40–6:20 p.m.), and the yellow-flag boat will operate the Sathorn–Nonthaburi route at 7:05 p.m.). Tourist boats on the Sunrise–Sathorn route and cross-river ferries at Phra Nang, Maha Nag, and Chiang piers will suspend service from noon onwards. The company urges passengers to plan ahead and allow extra time. At 10:00 a.m. on August 14, 2025, Democratic Party spokesman Pongsagon Khuanmuang announced that while evidence clearly shows over 5,925 people involved in fraudulent local civil service recruitment exams, only a handful have faced prosecution. Spokesman Pongsagon further noted a critical transparency issue: the 5,925 cases involve self-investigation by authorities, raising concerns that investigators themselves may be implicated—both civil servants and politicians who ordered the probe. This risks selective prosecution, leaving politicians unpunished while subordinates face penalties. "The party is therefore seeking ways to bring this matter to independent bodies or courts to establish a truly independent investigative committee, not a self-review, so that everyone involved—including implicated politicians—faces justice. This is what the party and the anti-money-laundering committee chairman will pursue," the spokesman said.

On August 14, the Thai Olympic Committee, Thai Amateur Boxing Association, and One Championship jointly announced their support for boxer Nabil Anane to represent Thailand in amateur boxing at the 2028 Olympics in the United States.

The Board of Investment announced that actual investment in the second quarter of 2026 reached 255 billion baht, up 31% from the same period last year, bringing the first half total to 535.8 billion baht. Artificial intelligence-related industries led investment in the quarter, including optical signal transmission devices, printed circuit boards, and data storage equipment, accounting for over 127 billion baht—roughly half of all Q2 investment—more than double the previous year.
