Charity Chief Rescues 13-Year-Old From Abusive Drug-Addicted Father
A 13-year-old girl in Nonthaburi was rescued after begging neighbors for food and revealing she had been sexually abused by her drug-addicted father, who was arrested and charged with assault and drug use.
A 13-year-old girl was found crying while begging neighbors in a condominium for food to feed her drug-addicted father, before revealing sexual abuse. Paveena Hongsukul, president of the Paveena Hongsukul Foundation for Children and Women, revealed that on the night of September 21, 2026, a concerned citizen called the foundation's hotline 1134 to report that a 13-year-old girl living in a rented room in a condominium in Bang Krui district, Nonthaburi province, had come crying to ask neighbors for food for her father.
The girl explained that her parents had separated long ago and she lived with her mother until October 2025, when her mother was arrested for theft. She was then forced to live with her father and another person in a rental room. Her father is drug-addicted, unemployed, and has no money for food. He forces her to go out and find food for him, threatening to beat her if she returns empty-handed. She also disclosed that her father had sexually assaulted her approximately five times since August 2026, with the most recent incident on September 18, 2026.
When foundation staff called the girl back, she urgently pleaded for help and said she could not stay there any longer. She explained that if she did not answer calls, it meant she was with her father because she was afraid to talk to anyone due to his violent temper. After a subsequent call went unanswered, Paveena Hongsukul contacted Major Kittisak Pongthanarak, superintendent of Bang Krui Police Station in Nonthaburi, to immediately rescue the girl. Police arrested her biological father at the station, and a urine test confirmed the presence of drugs in his system. He was held in custody at Bang Krui Police Station. Paveena Hongsukul also coordinated with Warin Veerasunthon, head of the children and family shelter for Nonthaburi province, to receive the victim at the shelter.
On September 23, 2026, police transferred the father to Nonthaburi Provincial Court for charges of sexual assault of a minor and drug use.
