A man warned the public after filling his motorcycle at a coin-operated fuel dispenser in Kamphaeng Phet province, only to receive water-contaminated fuel that destroyed his engine. The dispenser owner apologized and agreed to cover all repair costs.
On October 29, Lok Online shared a Facebook post from Nattapol, who posted a warning on the "Kamphaeng Phet Complaints" page. He said he bought 95-octane gasoline from a coin-operated dispenser in Mueang District, Kamphaeng Phet, but received cloudy water mixed in his tank, causing his motorcycle to stall and fail to restart. He demanded the owner take responsibility.
Reporters met Nattapol, aka "Teacher Blue," a 30-year-old music teacher. He said after work he was riding home when he noticed his fuel was low, so he stopped at the dispenser. After driving a short distance, the bike died completely and would not start. The fuel gauge showed normal, but opening the tank revealed white water. Fortunately, a passing driver helped push the bike home.
The next morning, he tried filling a bottle at the pump again and found it was still water, so he took the bike to a repair shop and demanded the owner pay. The owner, upon learning of the incident, expressed regret and apologized, explaining the cause was likely heavy rain allowing water to seep through the canopy roof into the underground storage tank. They will urgently coordinate with a mechanic to dismantle and improve the system to prevent future problems. They have also contacted Nattapol and settled the matter, agreeing to pay all motorcycle repair and maintenance costs.
