Democrat Party leader Nattapong Ruengpanyavutti posted on his personal Facebook addressing concerns raised by local political networks ahead of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization election. He stated that rumors claim if candidate Dechart Sukkageniid wins, certain local political groups will lose out because the Democrats would take control of Nonthaburi.
Ruengpanyavutti reaffirmed that fielding Dechart for the gubernatorial race is not a territorial power grab or an attempt to build a political base, emphasizing the party has never operated that way. He said the Democrats seek only one thing: an opportunity to implement the "New Nonthaburi" policy with transparent and efficient budget management, so people can see that good local governance and quality of life go hand in hand.
The party leader added that Democrats are ready to work with all groups as long as their approach aligns with Democrat principles and values. He expressed confidence that all candidates running for the position share the same intention to serve residents and improve Nonthaburi's quality of life through this election.
