The Democrat Party announced its acceptance of defeat in the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization election. The party thanked all voters in Nonthaburi who turned out and cast ballots for Decharat Sukgamnerd, candidate number 4 from the Democrat Party, but stated the votes were insufficient to win administrative control of the PAO. The party said local elections remain an important arena it hopes to compete in.
Decharat said he was grateful for the public's support and acknowledged that Nonthaburi faced considerable challenges. He stressed that every vote carries meaning and expressed confidence in and respect for the voters' voice. He congratulated Naruephan Yenprasoet on winning the election and taking office as PAO governor.
