Five teenagers from Yala chased a rival on motorcycle and opened fire in the city center, causing the target vehicle to crash and overturn, leaving the driver and passenger seriously injured. The perpetrators fled the scene. Mae Tap Thim Yala Police Station and rescue teams received a report at approximately 3 p.m. on September 20 of armed teenagers exchanging gunfire on Municipal Road 4 in Yala Municipality, Mueang District, Yala Province, with injuries reported. Officers immediately rushed to the scene. The incident occurred in front of a convenience store near Mana Education School, where responders found an overturned dark blue Honda motorcycle without license plates and two injured persons. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting both victims urgently to Yala Central Hospital. Preliminary investigation revealed that approximately five perpetrators on two motorcycles chased their intended targets along the route before firing shots at the opposite direction during the pursuit. Although no bullets struck anyone directly, the gunfire caused the target motorcycle to lose control and crash severely, resulting in serious injuries to the driver and rear passenger. The perpetrators escaped rapidly following the incident.
