Dhamrongchai Foundation Marks 28 Years, Awards 854 Scholarships
The Dhamrongchai Dhammatham Foundation celebrated its 28th anniversary, having awarded 854 scholarships totaling over 371 million baht to financially disadvantaged students.
On the occasion of its 28th anniversary, the Dhamrongchai Dhammatham Foundation held a merit-making ceremony and presented certificates of honor to graduating scholarship recipients. Foundation Chairman Paiboon Dhamrongchai Dhammatham presided over the event alongside committee members Jirarat Winyarat, Suwimon Jungchotikapisit, and Praphawan Thaniranan. The event featured an exhibition by the scholarship alumni association continuing the spirit of "not just to grow up, but to grow well," passing on knowledge and skills to create value and extend opportunities to society.
The Dhamrongchai Dhammatham Foundation launched the "Creating People, Creating Graduates" scholarship project to provide educational opportunities for Thai youth who excel academically, behave well, and are active in extracurricular activities but lack financial resources. It is a continuous, comprehensive scholarship covering necessary education and living expenses such as tuition fees, education-related costs, accommodation, and more, with no requirement for recipients to return or repay the foundation. The hope is that scholarship graduates will succeed in their education and use their knowledge to help others. To date, the foundation has awarded 854 scholarships totaling over 371 million baht and continues to support education on an ongoing basis.
Ms. Sawinee Sriudom, a 22nd-generation scholarship recipient in her fourth year at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, said: "The opportunity I received was not just a scholarship that allowed me to graduate, but it also helped me learn, grow, and broaden my perspective significantly. This opportunity should not end with me, so I want to pass on the knowledge, skills, and experiences I gained to benefit others and society."
Mr. Natthaphon Sisoi, a 25th-generation scholarship recipient in his first year at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, said: "Beyond the educational opportunity, what I received from the foundation was warmth and bonding, both from fellow scholarship students and alumni. It made me feel that throughout this time I have not been walking alone. One thing that impressed me deeply was the foundation's spirit. Receiving this scholarship is not just about helping me 'grow up,' but an opportunity to learn and grow with quality, so I can become someone who creates benefits for others."
