TAT Launches 100-Baht Travel Vouchers to Boost Weekday Tourism
The Tourism Authority of Thailand will launch the "100 Baht Travel All Thailand" campaign on December 15, offering 100-baht tourism vouchers every Tuesday for eight weeks to boost weekday travel. The government initiative aims to distribute tourism income beyond major destinations and holiday periods, supporting local businesses and communities nationwide.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is preparing to launch the "100 Baht Travel All Thailand" campaign, offering SHOCK DEALS tourism vouchers priced at 100 baht across eight rounds every Tuesday from December 15, 2026, to February 9, 2027.
Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswathana revealed that the government, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, is moving forward to stimulate the economy through the tourism sector. The policy aims to distribute income to tourist towns and communities in various regions, while promoting travel on weekdays to reduce tourist congestion during holidays and increase income opportunities for local operators.
Most recently, TAT is preparing to open the "100 Baht Travel All Thailand" project, offering special privileges and discounted tourism vouchers to encourage both Thai and foreign tourists residing in Thailand to travel and spend more, helping to stimulate local economies continuously throughout the week. The project is divided into two parts: special privileges and discounts from participating operators, and the online "SHOCK DEALS" activity selling tourism vouchers at 100 baht.
"SHOCK DEALS" 100 Baht: Sales Open for Eight Tuesdays Lalida stated that for the SHOCK DEALS activity, vouchers will be sold on Tuesdays for eight rounds between December 15, 2026, and February 9, 2027. Vouchers are valid for travel or service use from Monday to Thursday to increase tourist numbers during less crowded periods, helping tourism businesses generate continuous revenue outside weekends and distribute money to restaurants, community shops, transport services, and small local operators.
This project does not only aim to offer special prices but wants to stimulate actual travel and spending in local areas so that tourism income reaches a wide range of people, especially potential tourist towns that still see visitors concentrated only on holidays. Promoting weekday travel will help increase economic opportunities for operators and communities.
The public is urged to check conditions before buying vouchers. The 100-baht price is the voucher sale price in the SHOCK DEALS activity and does not mean all tourism products and services cost 100 baht, nor is it a cash handout to the public.
At the same time, the voucher sale day and service usage day have different conditions. Sales are open on Tuesdays, but usage is designated for Monday through Thursday. Interested parties should check service types, usage dates, and each operator's conditions thoroughly.
TAT Preparing Readiness Lalida added that TAT is currently preparing readiness with over 170 private operators covering accommodation, restaurants, activities and attractions, health and beauty, and tourism-related services to create special offers that stimulate travel and service use on weekdays.
In addition, TAT is preparing to open the activity and will announce further details on how to participate through official channels. The public should follow information before purchasing or making payments. Operators interested in participating can inquire for details via LINE Official Account @weekday100.
