Drunk Senior Stabs Junior, Dies After Counterattack Knife Strike
A 30‑year‑old man, Peeratch, died after being stabbed in the left chest during a drunken argument with his 20‑year‑old junior, Thanawut, who claimed self‑defense. Thanawut fled the scene on a motorcycle but was quickly apprehended by police in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. He has been charged with intentional homicide while investigators continue to process the evidence.
According to the investigation, Peeratch, who was intoxicated, asked Thanawut to drive him home on a motorcycle. When they arrived at the scene, Peeratch began verbally abusing Thanawut, leading to a fight in which Peeratch brandished a knife and lunged at him. Thanawut, who was also carrying a knife, stabbed Peeratch once in the left chest in self‑defense, causing him to collapse and die at the spot. Thanawut then fled on his motorcycle but was swiftly tracked down and taken into custody. He later told police that he acted to protect himself after being attacked first. Authorities have charged him with intentional homicide and are preparing the case for prosecution.
