Firecracker Factory Explosion Destroys House, Damages 30 Others
A firecracker factory in Nakhon Ratchasima's Chumphuang District exploded on September 24, completely destroying the production house and damaging about 30 nearby buildings. One person was injured in the blast.
A firecracker explosion in Chumphuang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, has completely destroyed a house used for firecracker production and damaged approximately 30 neighboring buildings. At 7:30 p.m. on September 24, 2025, Phethai Chorkratoke, the district chief of Chumphuang, received notification of the explosion in the Ban Tha area, Moo 8, Chumphuang Subdistrict, and proceeded to inspect the scene with firefighters from Chumphuang Tambon Municipality. Firefighting personnel used water jets to extinguish the fire consuming the main structure, which was completely destroyed, while neighboring homes sustained minor damage. One injured male, identified as Hattaiphat, 47 years old, was transported to Chumphuang Hospital by good samaritans. Chumphuang Police officers are conducting an investigation and maintaining a security perimeter to prevent unauthorized access to the incident area. Chumphuang Tambon Municipality is surveying the damage to assess relief assistance under applicable regulations.
