Fitness First Plans 330 Million Baht Expansion After Member Growth
Fitness First announced a 330 million baht investment to expand its branches and upgrade services after member usage rose 25% in five years. The firm highlighted growing demand for personal training and specialised group classes such as HIIT and pilates. It said success will depend on service quality and member experience rather than just the number of outlets.
Fitness First reported that member visit frequency rose from an average of eight times per month to ten times per month between 2021 and 2026, reflecting a growing role of exercise in daily life. Personal training participation jumped from about 6,000 to over 15,000 members, increasing its share from 17% to 27% and projected to generate roughly 1.5 million training hours by 2026. Group class attendance also surged, with HIIT up 159% and mind‑body or pilates up 73% over the same period, while about seven in ten member activities involve others, prompting the company to organise around 1,500 community events yearly to boost engagement.
