Five Eastern Routes Suspended as Floods Hit Thailand
Heavy rainfall across Thailand has suspended five shared minibus routes in the Eastern region, with operators urging passengers to allow extra travel time and monitor weather conditions before journeying.
On September 26, 2025, transport operator BKS announced that heavy and continuous rainfall across Thailand has caused flooding in multiple provinces, disrupting public transport services. Five shared minibus routes in the Eastern region have been temporarily suspended until conditions normalize: Route 46 (Bangkok-Rayong old route), Route 48 (Bangkok-Pattaya vans only), Routes 914/917 (Bangkok-Chanthaburi-Trat) operated by Thanthavee Transport, Route 9916 (Bangkok-Wang Nam Yen-Khlong Hat), and Route 9916 (Bangkok-Sa Kaew-Aranyaprathet-Talat Rohng Gluea).
BKS's own service routes continue operating normally and the company is closely monitoring the flood situation. Passengers are advised to follow weather updates and plan journeys in advance, allowing extra time to reach terminals at Chatuchak, Mo Chit 2, Ekamai, Southern Bus Terminal, Pinklao, and other stations, as traffic congestion and localized flooding are ongoing in some areas.
