Thailand had advanced as Group A runners-up with six points from three matches, while China topped Group B with five points. Coach Watthachai Damrongongraktrakul fielded a full-strength squad led by captain Chanphach Buaphan, Siththa Boonla, Yotsakhon Burapha, and Thanakrit Chotimeungpak.
China scored first in the 45th minute from a free kick when Wu Xi's delivery into the penalty area reached Peng Xiao, whose shot deflected off goalkeeper Chomphat Bunlertsak and struck Atthapol Saengthong for an own goal to make it 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, China added two more goals: Hu Hetao scored in the 47th minute with a right-footed shot from inside the box, and Jia Yuning extended the lead to 3-0 in the 63rd minute. No further goals were scored, and Thailand's tournament run ended with the 0-3 defeat, eliminating them from the semifinals. The Thai team will return home, arriving at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on September 27, 2025 at approximately 21:30.
