Five Suspects Flee Abroad After Luxury Home Robbery in Pattaya
Five suspects have fled Thailand after allegedly robbing a Turkish businessman's luxury home in Bang Lamung, Chonburi, stealing assets worth about 37 million baht, including cryptocurrency, cash, Rolex watches and phones. Police have issued arrest warrants for the five individuals and are coordinating with Interpol to secure a Red Notice for their return. Investigators say the suspects used a black-clad team, restrained the victims, and abandoned a Toyota Fortuner in Pattaya while fleeing.
Police investigated the crime, reviewing CCTV footage and seizing a Toyota Fortuner abandoned in Soi Jomtien 9, Pattaya, which linked to the suspects. They collected 14 items of evidence, including balaclavas, gloves, clothing, shoes and an aluminum ladder. Through witness statements, GPS data, rental records and travel histories, officers identified five suspects: Mr. Dong Ping, Mr. Lixinle, Mr. Wang Hongbo, Mr. Mu Hongda and Mr. Zhiyu Wang. A Pattaya court issued arrest warrants for all five on charges of night-time armed robbery, property damage, unlawful confinement and firearms offenses. However, checks showed the suspects had already left Thailand, prompting police to coordinate with the Chinese Embassy and seek an Interpol Red Notice. Authorities continue to trace the stolen assets, especially the cryptocurrency, to uncover any further accomplices.
