Police are hunting three suspects who stormed the luxurious residence of a Turkish businessman in Chonburi, making off with cash, Rolex watches and cryptocurrency worth nearly 30 million baht. The robbers entered the property at 03:30 on October 6 by climbing a ladder, stealing about 150,000 baht in cash and three Rolex watches. They then compelled the victim to open the safe and transfer digital assets or cryptocurrency from a digital wallet into a central account before the funds were liquidated, amounting to roughly 820,000 US dollars (around 27 million baht). Overall losses are estimated at close to 30 million baht. Investigators recovered a black Toyota Fortuner believed to have been used in the robbery, abandoned in a forest area under Nong Prue Police Station jurisdiction; the vehicle bears the license plate 9 Kor Thor-6091 Bangkok. CCTV from Khao Noi Soi captured the suspect vehicle at approximately 15:38 on October 5, circling Phatthanakan Road and Soi Wat Bun Samsan before the attack. A meeting was held today at the Nong Prue Police Station’s third‑floor conference room, attended by investigators from Region 2, Chonburi Provincial Police, Nong Prue Police Station, Chonburi Immigration and tourist police, to devise a strategy for tracking down the three perpetrators.
