Former Education Minister Opens Wangchian Goodness Festival
Former Education Minister Worrawat Aue-aphinyokul opened the 2025 Wangchian Goodness Festival in Phrae Province, a three-day event featuring merit-making ceremonies, fish releases, and 269 local women performing traditional dances.
Worrawat Aue-aphinyokul, former Education Minister and former Phrae Province MP for District 3, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2025 Wangchian District Goodness Festival on September 3, which runs for three days through September 5 with budget support from Phrae Provincial Administration. The event was filled with spiritual atmosphere and featured numerous highlights including merit-making ceremonies to support monastic welfare, fish species releases, and presentation of the "Good Person of Wangchian" award honoring those who contribute to society. A striking cultural performance showcased over 269 local women dancers performing traditional merit-making dances in synchronized harmony, reflecting the unity and rare local cultural charm of the district. The festival was graced by Somchai Ampunkarn, Phrae Provincial Secretary, Kittiwat Kittiwet, Wangchian District Officer, and numerous other government officials and community members, inviting visitors to experience the community's way of life and purchase local quality products through September 5.
