Gulf Development Showcases Clean Energy and Data Centers at Gastech 2026

Gulf Development Limited has officially begun its participation in Gastech 2026 as National Consortium Partner, marking the opening day of the world's 54th major conference and exhibition on natural gas, LNG, low-carbon technology, power generation, and AI for the energy sector. The event, held at Bangkok's BITEC from September 14–17, 2026, represents Thailand's first hosting of Gastech in 18 years and attracts over 50,000 attendees from more than 150 countries.

Gulf's involvement emphasizes its leadership in Thailand's energy and infrastructure sectors under the theme "Integrated Infrastructure, Powering Tomorrow," which combines energy security foundations, clean energy expansion, and digital and AI infrastructure development. Saratcha Rattanawadee, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Development, stated that Thailand's hosting of Gastech demonstrates investor confidence in the country, particularly in energy. He noted that natural gas remains critical for electricity system stability as data center expansion drives higher power demand, and called for clear government policies on zoning and clean energy promotion. Gulf recently co-invested with Singtel in an undersea cable project to reduce AI data processing costs and strengthen Thailand's regional competitiveness. The company projects improved economic outlook from government stimulus policies and is committed to long-term investment in electricity, data centers, and digital infrastructure to support Thailand's regional growth.

Throughout the four-day event, Gulf displays its capabilities through the Gulf Pavilion (booth C80) spanning over 420 square meters, featuring an Ecosystem Showcase linking four core business divisions—energy, natural resources and gas, port and logistics, and digital and telecommunications—alongside an immersive 360-degree experience guiding visitors from energy foundations to modern economic drivers. Gulf's three strategic pillars focus on establishing complete natural gas and LNG infrastructure for energy security, accelerating renewable power portfolios toward Net Zero targets, and scaling digital infrastructure, data centers, and AI capabilities to attract leading global technology investments, aligning with Gastech 2026's emphasis on energy, power systems, and AI integration.
