Woman Found Dead After Three Days, Suspicious Door Locks Baffle Police

A mother was shocked to discover her daughter's body at home after three days, showing multiple wounds with signs of a broken neck. Bloody footprints led to a window, and police noted that two doors had different lock mechanisms. The husband said he last visited his wife on Friday morning before going to work.

At 2 p.m. on September 14, 2026, Deputy Superintendent Kachpol Fueangkajorn of Bang Pa-in Police Station received the report of a death inside a residential house in Village 6, Ban Sang Subdistrict, Bang Pa-in District, Ayutthaya Province. He coordinated with investigation officers, forensic staff, Bang Pa-in Hospital doctors, and Buddhaisawan Foundation officials to inspect the scene.

The house was a wooden structure on high stilts. Inside the bedroom, police found the body of Salinyaa, 43 years old (surname withheld by request), wearing a white cartoon-patterned crew-neck shirt and shorts. She had wounds resembling cuts from a sharp object on her neck, cheeks, face, left arm on both front and side, and under her eyes. Signs suggested a broken neck. She was estimated to have been dead for approximately three days. Blood stains were found on the floor inside the room, with bloody footprints leading to a window. However, no clear signs of struggle or theft were evident elsewhere in the room. A mobile phone with blood on it and a pair of scissors were found near the body and collected as evidence.

Samlee, 63, the victim's mother, revealed that her daughter lived with her husband while she lived in another house nearby. Over the past three days, she had not seen her daughter leave the house. When she came to check and called out but got no response, she found the front door locked. She asked neighbors to help her climb through a back window, where she found her daughter dead with blood on the floor. Samlee noted as particularly puzzling that the bedroom door was locked from the outside, while the front door was locked from the inside, leaving unclear how the incident occurred and who might be involved.

Rajsak, 42, the victim's husband (surname withheld by request), revealed that they had lived together for approximately seven years. He works as an electrician and travels to different job sites for about ten days at a time before returning home. On Friday morning, he visited his wife and brought her some sonneratia flowers to sell before leaving for work. He later learned of her death but stated he does not know what caused it and has no conflicts with anyone. He has only minor chronic health conditions.

Uncle Phueang, 70, a neighbor and relative, said that for the three days before the body was discovered, he heard no commotion or arguments from the house and did not notice an unusual smell from the body. The victim normally lived with her husband, though he frequently travels, so it remained unclear when the incident occurred.

Investigators have sent the body for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The Bang Pa-in Police investigation team is continuing to examine evidence, inspect the environment, entry and exit points, and gather information on related individuals to clarify the circumstances. No conclusion has yet been reached on the cause of death, pending autopsy results.
