At 1:00 PM on October 27, 2026, at the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Srisuwan Janya, leader of the Rak Chat Rak Phaen Din group, submitted a petition asking the NACC to investigate and rule on the actions of Miss Ratchanok Sri-nok, a party-list MP for the People's Party. The complaint concerns her sharing of false information from the 'Godd Dam' Facebook page regarding a 7 million baht transfer to the account of Anutin Charnvirakul, who was Interior Minister at the time, and whether this constitutes a serious breach of ethical standards.
The issue originated when the Facebook page 'Godd Dam' posted images and text at midnight on October 25, along with a transfer slip for 7 million baht showing Anutin Charnvirakul as the recipient. The page demanded relevant agencies investigate the matter, and the post went viral, widely discussed in mainstream and social media.
Subsequently, the government spokesperson and team denied the claims, calling them politically motivated disinformation. Even Kasikornbank's 'KBank Live' Facebook page posted on October 26 explaining that the bank had verified the 7 million baht transfer slip to the account named Anutin Charnvirakul and found no matching recipient account number in their system. They also noted that transfers via the K PLUS channel have a daily limit of 5 million baht.
Prior to this, MP Ratchanok Sri-nok had shared the Godd Dam post on her own Facebook page, drawing heavy public criticism. The Godd Dam page has since disappeared.
As an elected politician, an MP, and chair of the House Committee on Budget Scrutiny and Oversight, Ratchanok should have been aware that sharing false information, fake news, or damaging images carries the same legal liability as the original poster. The Computer Crime Act, Section 14(1) and (5), prohibits importing or forwarding false data likely to harm the public, with penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment and/or a 100,000 baht fine. Additionally, Section 328 of the Criminal Code on defamation by publication carries up to 2 years imprisonment and a 200,000 baht fine.
Furthermore, Section 219 of the Constitution requires MPs to adhere to ethical standards and avoid actions that could damage the dignity of their position. The NACC has the authority to investigate, adjudicate, and refer such cases to the Supreme Court.
