Army Says Celebrity Husband's Resort Encroaches on State Land

On October 27, 2026, at Army Headquarters, Royal Thai Army spokesperson Lieutenant General Winthai Suvaree explained the investigation into land used by the husband of Miss Panadda, which falls under Army Area 12 in Nakhon Nayok. He stated that the land in question is state property under army control. The army has long faced continuous unauthorized use of its land, previously focusing on public engagement and cooperation rather than legal action, with few daily logs recorded. Regarding the area linked to Buum Panadda's husband, Army Area 12 administers the land while the 2nd Cavalry Division utilizes it. Preliminary findings show the land is being used without army permission, and no approval exists for a private lease from the Treasury Department. Details are still under review. The army, alongside relevant agencies, aims to systematically resolve the issue so the public can use land legally, through projects like the Nong Wua So Model and the Treasury for the People initiative. On October 25, Army Area 12 met with local authorities from Sri Ka-ang Subdistrict, Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok, and confirmed many locals are encroaching on the land without permission. Consequently, the responsible unit, the 2nd Cavalry Battalion, has filed a police report for further legal action.
