Government Savings Bank has launched the "Special Savings Lottery for Special People" in a greeting card format, providing a gift option for every occasion while also serving as a savings starting point with prize-draw rights. Customers can choose from 1-year, 2-year, and 5-year lotteries with a minimum purchase of just 100 baht, and both interest and prize money are exempt from personal income tax.

GSB President Songphol Chiwapanaroj revealed that the bank introduced this special savings lottery in a greeting card style to serve as a gift choice for New Year festivals, birthdays, graduations, weddings, or other important occasions, making the gift both a blessing and a savings kickoff for loved ones, complete with prize-draw rights according to each lottery type's conditions.

The special savings lottery for special people offers options by type and savings period: Special 1-year and 2-year savings lotteries starting at 100 baht per unit, and a Special 5-year savings lottery starting at 500 baht per unit. Sold only in lottery certificate form, upon maturity the holder receives principal plus interest and retains prize-draw rights throughout the lottery's term according to each type's conditions, with interest and prizes tax-exempt for individuals.

Buyers can give the lottery certificate directly to the recipient, who must contact the bank to transfer ownership before the maturity date. The sooner the transfer, the sooner the recipient gains benefits and prize-draw rights under the lottery's conditions. Early withdrawal follows conditions set by the bank.

The special edition lottery carries an issuance fee of 10 baht per certificate for purchases below 1,000 baht, while purchases of 1,000 baht or more are fee-free. For more details, interested parties can inquire at any GSB branch, the website www.gsb.or.th, or the GSB Contact Center at 1115.
