GULF Delivers 16,000 Meals to Bangkok Flood Victims

Gulf Development Public Company Limited, led by Head of Corporate Social Responsibility Sitamon Ratanavadi, together with GULF Asa volunteers comprising employees from GULF's head office and power plants across the Group, is providing 2,000 freshly prepared meals per day, totaling 16,000 meals, to support people affected by flooding in Bangkok. Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt received the donation on behalf of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration at the Department of Drainage and Sewerage at Bangkok City Hall 2.
Governor Chadchart said flood conditions in many Bangkok areas have improved, though more than 40 critical points along main canals still require close monitoring. The administration's immediate priority is lowering water levels in main canals to enable drainage from surrounding communities, followed by accelerated pumping efforts in persistently flooded areas. The BMA is also monitoring upstream water flows and tidal patterns.
For residents, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has adjusted its food distribution system to deliver meals directly to affected people. In areas where water has receded, recovery operations including cleanup and debris removal are beginning, with personnel and equipment from unaffected districts being deployed to the hardest-hit areas.
Sitamon Ratanavadi stated that GULF and its volunteers initially prepared relief kits and drinking water for distribution by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. After learning of continued need for freshly prepared meals, GULF committed to delivering 2,000 meal boxes daily. "As fellow members of Thai society, we want to do everything we can to help ease the hardship people are facing," Ratanavadi said.
