Heavy Rain Uncovers Human Skull and Bones in Nakhon Ratchasima
Heavy rain exposed a human skull and bones in Non Sung district, Nakhon Ratchasima, prompting villagers to secure the area while awaiting forensic examination to determine identity and time of death.
Villagers in Ban Muang Thi, Don Chomphu subdistrict, Non Sung district, Nakhon Ratchasima province were shocked to discover a human skull and skeletal remains after continuous heavy rain eroded the soil, causing the earthen bank to collapse. The discovery caused great alarm among locals who found the remains.
Following the incident, villagers roped off the area where the bones were found, while some lit incense candles to show respect according to local beliefs and to ask for lucky numbers. No one dared to move or handle the remains, waiting for officials to inspect the scene first.
At present, it cannot be determined whose skeleton it is or whether the bones have been there a long time or only recently. Although observers noted the teeth remain clearly visible, this cannot yet confirm the skeleton's age. Authorities are awaiting forensic examination to establish the facts about the origin and time of death.
Community leaders have asked local residents not to touch, move, or destroy any evidence in the area, and to wait for relevant agencies to conduct their investigation according to proper procedures. Photo credit: Facebook user Tam Madoo
