Heavy Rain Warning Issued for 36 Thai Provinces

Thailand's Meteorological Department has warned 36 provinces of heavy thunderstorms expected to cover 60 percent of their areas, with flash flooding risks also affecting Bangkok and its vicinity. Northeast: 60 percent thunderstorms with heavy rain in some areas including Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani; low 23-24°C, high 32-35°C; southwest winds 10-20 km/h. Central: 60 percent thunderstorms with heavy rain around Nakhon Sawan, Saraburi, and Kanchanaburi; low 25-27°C, high 35-37°C; southwest winds 10-20 km/h. East: 60 percent thunderstorms with heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok, Chanthaburi, and Trat; low 23-28°C, high 32-35°C; southwest winds 15-35 km/h; sea waves 1-2 meters, over 2 meters in thunderstorm areas. South (East Coast): 40 percent thunderstorms mostly around Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat; low 23-26°C, high 33-36°C; southwest winds 15-35 km/h; sea waves around 1 meter nearshore, 1-2 meters offshore, over 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.
