Interior Ministry Official Visits Flooded Areas in Nan Province
Deputy Interior Minister Jetsada Thaisettha visited flood-affected areas in Nan Province on August 20, coordinating relief efforts across three districts while ensuring continued food assistance reaches victims in Pua.
Deputy Interior Minister Jetsada Thaisettha visited Nan Province throughout August 20, 2024, traveling to Pua district in the morning to assess flood conditions and boost public morale before moving to Muang Nan district in the afternoon to oversee relief efforts. Thaisettha stated that although the main relief force is shifting to support Muang Nan and Wiang Sa districts, the team from Uthai Thani Province will remain based in Pua to continue providing food assistance. They will continue preparing fresh meals for distribution to flood victims and field workers.
The team has coordinated to receive approximately 6,000 meal packages, which will be rapidly distributed to flood victims and officials in the area. "Although our main forces are moving to assist Muang Nan and Wiang Sa, we will not abandon Pua," Thaisettha said. "The Uthai Thani team will remain based in Pua, preparing and distributing food and aid to victims and officials continuously, because in a situation like this, every affected area still needs help."
