Julphand Satisfied With Pheu Thai Ministers After Three Months
Pheu Thai party leader Julphand says ministers are performing satisfactorily after three months, with no need for improvement orders, though he deems it premature to formally evaluate their work. The focus now shifts to better communicating
At 12:25 p.m. on July 7, 2026, at Government House, Julphand Amornvivat, Labor Minister and Pheu Thai party leader, addressed discussions with the Prime Minister regarding ministerial KPI assessments. He noted that KPI measurement is ongoing and requires self-review of past work while striving for continuous improvement, with the public ultimately serving as the benchmark.
Julphand confirmed that this morning's discussion with the Prime Minister did not focus on KPI evaluations but rather on overall government performance. When asked if Pheu Thai would instruct its ministers to improve, as Bhumjaithai reportedly did, Julphand said there is no need, as monitoring shows all ministers are working at full capacity.
He emphasized that the key priority now is communicating with the public. The Prime Minister stressed in the cabinet meeting that any benefits delivered to the public must be clearly communicated. Pheu Thai will improve its public relations efforts if there are any gaps.
Regarding satisfaction with Pheu Thai ministers' performance, Julphand said it is too early to evaluate. With only three months passed, they need time to settle in, prove themselves, and demonstrate results. He did not set a specific timeline for evaluation but said it should be reviewed periodically.
When pressed on whether three months of work has met targets, Julphand confirmed it has and said the party will compile achievements to communicate to society what has been accomplished and demonstrate the vision and direction of their oversight.
