Kasetsart University Partners With Bangkok On Health Services
Kasetsart University's nursing faculty partnered with Bangkok to improve healthcare delivery and train nursing students at municipal hospitals and health centers across the city.
Kasetsart University's Faculty of Nursing has signed an academic cooperation agreement with Bangkok to improve healthcare delivery, advance research, and develop technology and innovation. The partnership aims to integrate knowledge to elevate Bangkok's public health system while opening municipal hospitals and health centers as training facilities for nursing students to prepare healthcare professionals for national needs.
On July 3, 2026, at Bangkok City Hall, Faculty of Nursing Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saisamorn Chayakitti and Bangkok's Medical Office Director Dr. Grienggai Tangjitmaneesathakda signed the academic cooperation memorandum, witnessed by Assoc. Prof. Krishnapon Thipkanchanarekha, Faculty of Nursing Academic Vice Dean, and Pornthip Sunthoranan, Bangkok Public Health Nursing Division Director, along with executives from both organizations.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somwang Kantayanuwoongse, Vice Rector for Health Science Development and Suphanburi Regional Affairs, stated that this cooperation merges higher education capacity with Bangkok's public health services to apply health science knowledge, research, technology, and innovation to promote public health, while supporting grassroots community and economic development and strengthening the nation's healthcare workforce.
The cooperation covers three key areas: applying knowledge and research to improve public health, jointly developing bioagricultural health research and innovation in Bangkok's agricultural zones, and developing medical and nursing personnel by designating Bangkok's hospitals and health centers as training sites for Bachelor of Nursing students at Kasetsart University's Faculty of Nursing.
Both organizations will also establish a bioagricultural health research and innovation network to develop model communities in Bangkok's agricultural areas, transfer knowledge to address local health issues, and ensure quality, standardized public health services. The five-year memorandum represents a significant step in integrating cooperation between Kasetsart University and Bangkok to advance research, technology, and innovation toward sustainable health system development and quality of life improvements.
