At 11 a.m. on September 29 at the Klongjarn apartment complex, reporters noted that no additional rain had fallen since the evening of September 28, causing water levels to recede by approximately 10-20 centimeters. However, the decline is slower than in many other areas of Bangkok, such as near Si Burapha Road.
Residents of the Klongjarn complex have now endured four days of flooding. Some still need to wade through water to retrieve food and drinking water. Today, the Po-Tek Tung Foundation delivered fresh food, drinking water, and dry provisions to residents at Building 15. Local residents reported that relief supplies arrived over the past one to two days, helping them have enough to eat, and they expressed gratitude to all aid organizations. However, they still need medications, as water levels begin to drop and many residents must wade out. Young children and patients remain in the building and require diapers and basic household medicines.
Residents also appealed to aid organizations to be cautious about food ingredients, as some items may spoil given the time lag between preparation and delivery combined with the heat. They suggested that dry goods or fresh ingredients that residents can prepare themselves would be more practical, since Building 15 still has electricity and water for managing supplies within the apartment.
