PTT Expands Global LNG Business With Korea and Norway Deals
PTT Group signed long-term LNG supply agreements with South Korea's GS Energy and Norway's Equinor at Gastech 2026, expanding its global liquefied natural gas portfolio and positioning itself as a major international energy player.
PTT Group is pushing into the global energy market by signing liquefied natural gas agreements and reaching cooperation deals with international business partners at Gastech 2026 to strengthen capabilities, increase supply flexibility, and manage energy from multiple sources worldwide. The agreements respond to changing global conditions, meet rising energy demand, and position the group to compete and grow in international energy markets.
The signings span multiple regions and aim to rapidly expand the LNG portfolio. PTT International Trading (PTTT) signed a long-term LNG sales agreement with GS Energy Trading Singapore, the leading energy company from South Korea—marking PTTT's first long-term LNG sales deal with the firm. Witnesses to the signing included Kongkrapan Intharajang, President and Chief Executive Officer of PTT Public Company, and Yongsoo Huh, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GS Energy Corporation, alongside other PTT executives.
The cooperation targets strengthening LNG trade between Thailand and South Korea while expanding opportunities into Northeast Asian markets. PTTT also signed a cooperation agreement with Korea East-West Power to explore joint LNG business opportunities, including operational efficiency improvements, upstream investment, and other ventures aligned with both parties' future goals.
Additionally, PTTT signed a long-term LNG sales agreement with Equinor, a leading energy company from Norway. This strategic partnership reflects PTT Group's ability to connect energy sources globally and pursue opportunities through partner networks and international trade. The collaboration reinforces the group's end-to-end LNG supply chain management capabilities, supporting its goal of becoming a Global LNG Player and achieving sustainable growth internationally.
